Well after visiting the site, i had some ideas on what was there, and what was lacking. An overwhelming need for some sort of shelter from the surrounds was a defenant, but i think it needed something more; a place to sit and enjoy the show of the city and river but, with more focus and less distraction from the noise of the traffic above, and the abundance of open space keeping you from the quality of the surrounding vistas(Fig 1). So i looked at a space that block the above and retained the below; a space that was comfortable, and most importantly, a place to sit as there was nothing like that for miles. So I started by looking at a concrete jungle analogy(Fig 2) and how i could shape the view, but ultimately it wasn't as comforting as i was looking for, so i started looking at geodesic domes, and how they shape the sound within them, and how this would be useful at blocking out sound from above, and keeping the occupants quiet by amplifying any noise they care to make, making the user more aware of their own noise, and therefor keeping the place quiet(Fig 3&4).
